Summer Construction Calendar
The Town of Danville is an active and vibrant place, with a constant flow of new projects, renovations and improvements occurring throughout the year. This summer is no different with a number of Town-sponsored and utilities-related projects getting underway. Below is a list of the projects getting underway over the summer months. These projects do not include the normal street maintenance undertaken during the summer through the ongoing Pavement/Slurry Seal Project.

Dublin San Ramon Services Distrct – EBMUD Recycled Water Authoritiy (DERWA): (Currently Ongoing) A project to bring recycled water to locations in San Ramon and Danville. Work is currently underway on Crow Canyon Road in San Ramon and El Capitan Drive in Danville. Work is scheduled on El Capitan Drive between Crow Canyon Road and Oneida Circle. Project is expected to be finished by mid-June.
PG&E Gas Main Replacement: (Currently Ongoing) Utility project on northbound Crow Canyon Road between Reedland Circle and Camino Tassajara. Crews are trenching to replace a 6” gas main. Lanes will be reduced through the work area and may cause delalys. Work hours are 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Work is scheduled for completion in early August.
PG&E Gas Main Replacement: (July 20 - Mid-August) Night time roadwork on Diablo Road between Green Valley Road and Clydesdale Drive. PG&E will maintain one lane, two-way traffic control during roadwork. Expect delays. Work hours are 8:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. Work is expected to be completed by mid-August.
Danville Boulevard Sealing and Restriping: (Mid-July) The project will involve slurry sealing the roadway between Railroad Avenue and El Cerro Boulevard. Once the sealing is completed the street will be re-striped. Hours of work to be determined. Scheduled for completion two weeks after start.
Railroad Avenue Overlay: (Late July – Mid-August) The project will involve asphalt resurfacing, Americans with Disabilities (ADA) sidewalk curb ramp upgrades, decorative crosswalks and pavement markings on Railroad Avenue between Linda Mesa Avenue and Love Lane. Hours to be determined. Expected completion in mid-August. Once main work is completed, some night work will be scheduled for installation of brick-banded crosswalks through the project area.
Camino Tassajara Improvements: (Early August) This partially federally-funded project will repair and improve westbound lanes of Camino Tassajara between Sycamore Valley Road and the eastern Town limits. Lanes will be open in both directions during the work. Delays may be expected. Work hours are 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Expected completion in mid-September.
