Crews will begin the grinding and repaving of a section of Camino Tassajara as part of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act - A Legacy of Users (SAFETEA-LU) project.
Beginning Oct. 3, 2016 work starts in the westbound lanes of Camino Tassajara between Hansen Lane and Parkhaven Drive. Crews will grind the existing pavement, and then replace with asphalt and slurry seal. Bicycle lanes will be ground and repaved as quickly as possible to ensure the safety of cyclists along the work zone. However, while the lanes are being re-done, cyclists and motorists will have to share the roadway for periods of time. Motorists are asked to exercise additional caution and work to maintain a safe distance from cyclists in the roadway.
