As part of the overall Pavement Management Program, the Town of Danville regularly contracts a provider to put down a sealant on select roadways known as 'slurry seal.' Slurry seal is one of the different types of sealant used on our roadways, depending on the condition of the road. Roads are evaluated using software from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission do determine their Pavement Condition Index (PCI). Depending on a road's PCI, different actions may be taken, which can include slurry seal, chip seal, and pavement overlays.
This project, starting in early summer, will apply slurry seal to several roads within the Town limits. Click here to see which roads will be sealed this summer.
